Stupid Facebook

I’ve realized I’m having trouble blogging because I dissipate my outrage and intellectualizing in Facebook status lines. Phooey!

Reasons to Start a Blog, #17

Because being jealous/resentful/contemptuous of other people who make an effort to do something cool/interesting/exposed to public commentary is a poor substitute for doing so yourself. It’s a lot of work and failure (however you define it) is always the default option, but walking around with the attitude “I could do that, too/better if i wanted to”  is lame.

As Rambo said: “Live for nothing. Or die for something.” Except about blogging, or making an internet t-shirt store, or miming in public.

Post A Day 2011 – Will 365 posts do?

leave a comment »

OK, i have not been posting-a-day at all. The requirements of having a cube monkey job (which I’m certain were designed to minimize the amount of comment-worthy stuff in the Monkey’s day, or at least the Monkey’s capabilities to notice comment-worthy stuff) and parenting two under-10 kids really don’t allow much time for posting interesting posts.

So – If I can’t get one post off a day, will a total of 365 posts do? I don’t see why not . . .
